What is a seat heating controller ?

The seat heating controller (SHC) makes it possible to have a serarate and almost stepless seat heating regulation for the driver and passenger seat. This small device is not only made for the 206 CC. It is also usable in other car models or other car brands. You can use the SHC for later installed seat heating units. (eg Waeco brand). The seat heaters reach a higher heat performance after the installation of the SHC.

Characteristics

3, 5, or 7 heating steps, separately adjustable for driver and passenger seat (configurable). Driver seat recognises actual setting – passenger seat is set to off after ignition off / on (configurable). Different configurable mode of operation are programmable via an easy menu. Acustic control via piezo speaker. Optional control via multicolor LED (only on special request as a self-assembly-kit against surcharge) Assembly and installation is very tricky! Easy operation even without an optical and acoustic control

How will the module be installed?

The SHC comes with two switches which are assembled below the roof switch. For the switches you have to drill two holes into the center console (into the cabinet of the hand brake handle). In this casing the SHC will be also installed. For the powering of the SHC a cable has to be run thru the center console e.g. to the car stereo connector or to the cigarette lighter. A grounding is necessary in the center console. A cable must be layed and connected to each seat. For this reason you have to remove the seats. The installation should only be carried out by experienced craftsmen.

Safety tips and further information

The usage of the SHC can cause the loss of the car warranty and the operating permit. The usage can conflict with state or government laws concerning the operation of a vehicle. The usage is strictly at your own risk ! There is no liability for person / material damages ! Basic Knowledge of electronic installation work and the usage of a soldering iron is necessary. For an easy installation both front seats must be removed and installed again. In addition also the connectors of the side airbags must be detached and attached again.

The installation and the use of the SHC module can lead to a loss the vehicle warranty and/or vehicle guarantee and a loss of the car insurance in case of an accident. The SHC module must be installed in such a way, that under no circumstances (e.g. sharp braking, traffic accident) the RRE module is not able to detach itself and cause injuries to passengers. The installation and the usage of the SHC module take place at own risk.
