What is a RSL307 module ?

Are you going bananas when you have to keep pushing or pulling the roof switch all the time to open or close the roof? With the RSL (Roof Switch Lock) you will handle the roof on a fingertip. No annoyance of holding the the roof switch. The second hand remains free. Processor-controlled monitoring of the roof movement ensures reliable function independently of external influences. The module can be used with all 307cc models.

Characteristics

The RSL307 module covers the automatic roof handling on a fintertip. You need only a short push or pull on the roof switch to start the opening / closing process for the roof. Furthermore you need only a short push or pull on the roof switch to stop the roof moving process. After a stop it is possible to continue or invert the opening or closing process. There are two ways to close and open the roof: A short pull or push on the roof switch closes or opens the roof. A long pull or push (> 1s) on the roof switch closes or opens the roof and afterwards the closing of the windows. It is possible to interrupt the movement of the windows by pulling or pushing one the window lifter switches. The RSL307 module detects the position of the micro switches inside the roof mechanic and react therefore always appropriate to the original roof control. No matter whether high or low temperature (different viscosity of the hydraulic oil), high or low electrical system tension (running engine, or weak battery with cold weather), RSL307 is always informed about the condition of the roof. Please keep in mind that the RSL307 cannot work steady in an unforeseen malfunction of the micro switches. Completion of the central window lifter function: Complete opening and closing of all 4 windows at a fingertip are now available (full push or full pull on the central window lifter switch) . Garage Mode : All functions are blocked in Garage-Mode. For visiting e.g. your garage it is very comfortable to enter Garage-Mode. The Garage-Mode conduces the very easy way to block all RSL307 functions without changing the system configuation. The Garage-Mode is easily configurabe from the interior.

How will the module be installed?

The modul will be placed in the trunk under the cover near the roof control. No cables have to be cut. The RSL module needs no further cables to be connected. To install the module takes approximately 15 min and can be done very easily. You don’t need special tools.

Safety tips and further information

While the roof is moving always remain within range of the roof switch. Danger of injury! The usage of the RSL module can cause the loss of your car warranty and the operating permit and can conflict with state or government laws concerning the operation of a vehicle. The usage is strictly at your own risk. There is no liability for person / material damages.

Therefore you should not operate the remote control in traffic. Changes on the vehicle, which are necessary by the installation of the RSL307 module and further components, must always be implemented in such a way that no impairment of the road safety or the constructional stability of the car will result from it. The installation and the usage of the RSL307 module can lead to an offence of the motor vehicles regulations and/or road traffic regulations. The respective national regulations are to be considered. The RSL module must be installed in such a way, that under no circumstances (e.g. sharp braking, traffic accident) the RSL307 module is not able to detach itself and cause injuries to passengers. The installation and the usage of the RSL307 module take place at own risk.
